Presentation and commentary (30%), Active class participation (10%), Term paper (60%).
The course topics are organized for a critique of the Neoclassical economic paradigm in the
realm of the historical and contemporary issues of international political economics. At the
end of this course, students will have an expanded and deepened understanding of the
topical debates on international trade and international financial system as well as their links
to international labour standards and climate change.
Seminar discussion is applied. Reading of course literature is compulsory. Selected topics of
international political economics and case studies will be discussed in class. In addition,
students will be required to present specific topics individually or in groups and write a term
paper about their topic individually based on their independent research. Student
participation is required.
