This colloquium is open to all English language education / TEFL students (BA-/ MA-Studierende der Englischdidaktik).
We will focus on how to read and conduct research in the field of English language education (Forschendes Lernen).
Primary objectives of this course are:
· to help you understanding research findings in the field of English language education so that you can further develop your professional competences as an English teacher,
· to introduce you to research methods in the field of English language education that will help you with evaluating and improving your own teaching (evidence-based practice, Action Research),
· to support you with your own research for your module paper, BA- or MA-thesis,
· to prepare you for any research you would like to conduct during your internship (Praxissemester),
· to give you the opportunity to present your work in progress and receive individualised feedback .
This course is an additional offer, no credits can be earned.
