Computational Topology - Moodle
Computation topology is a relatively new mathematical discipline that has recently been making significant contributions to a wide array of applications in the natural sciences. This course will give an introduction to the field of computational topology. It will start with motivating problems in both mathematics and computer science followed by classic topics in geometric and algebraic topology, and ending with the concept of persistent homology. The course provides an introduction to a topic which transforms a mostly theoretical field of mathematics into one that is relevant to a multitude of disciplines in the sciences and engineering.
