Organizational change and institutional change are major challenges to organizational researchers as much as to organizational leaders. In this seminar, we take a close look at both concepts and discuss their interrelations. Besides three meetings with the seminar group, Potsdam students cooperate online with students from SUNY in small teams in order to study one case of change closer: where can we observe change? what is it that actually changes and to which end? what triggers the change? which circumstances hinder, which enforce the change? Cases may concern e.g. changes in educational systems, gender relations in organization, organizational policies, or EU policies. Das Seminar erfordert englische Sprachkenntnisse zur Kooperation mit SUNY-Studierenden, die Seminarsprache in den Präsenzzeiten richtet sich nach den anwesenden Studierenden.
!!! Das Seminar kann auch von Studierenden der alten Prüfungsordnung belegt werden. Es wird bald für das Modul Organisations- und Verwaltungssoziologie freigeschaltet.
Students work on a weblog in teams and solitary. Each student provides a short review (max 1000 words) on a scientific article and presents this review in class (max 15 min). The teams document their research results through blog content. The blog will go public after finishing.
