How “real” is your classroom? - Using media and material to bring real life in your English Language Classroom:
This course is designed to introduce you to the issues of using media and materials for the English language classroom. We will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of various media and material regarding a specific lesson goal. The aim of the course is to transfer our theoretical knowledge into designing media/ material for the English language classroom. It will be specifically designed for a workshop at the University of Potsdam, in which pupils (seniors) will take part in a simulation. Further, each product will be made available on the website of the department. In the process of material development we will constantly reflect and discuss your ideas.

Credit requirements: active participation and a presentation of your product, a written term paper about your product.
