Description

Students will be introduced to forecasting political negotiations in the field of global environmental and energy policy, employing the web-based software "The Predictioneers' Game (http://www.predictioneersgame.com/game)".  The seminar will combine lectures, actor papers, and group simulations.  Likely examples include climate change mitigation, REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation in Developing Countries), DESERTEC rollout (solar and wind power from North Africa for Europe and Northern Africa), or geoengineering.
