This colloquium will provide students preparing their MA thesis in English linguistics with an opportunity to pursue their individual research projects, from focusing on a feasible topic and employing suitable methods to discussing specific problems and actually writing their thesis. While paying special attention to the methodology of Conversation Analysis and Interactional Linguistics, the colloquium is certainly open to endeavors beyond this.
Literatur	familiarity with concepts from Conversation Analysis and Interactional Linguistics will be helpful, but are no pre-requisite. Relevant references can be obtained in the first session.
