The Seinsfrage leads the late Heidegger to an ontological analysis of modern technology that uncovers the dangers of technology’s ordering of our being-in-the-world and retraces its forgotten primary meaning. This seminar follows Heidegger’s raising of the Question Concerning Technology, examines how it is situated within the History of Being, western nihilism, the end of philosophy and the emergence of Denken. Finally the seminar will also pay special attention to what Heidegger calls the social order proper to the scientific-technological world.
