The course will analyze Conservative Judaism’s diverse approaches to Jewish law and theology. In keeping with one of its foundational principles, i.e., religious pluralism, students will be encouraged to argue and to wrestle with postures articulated by theorists on the ‘right-traditional’ and ‘left-liberal’ wings of the movement.

The course will analyze Conservative Judaism’s diverse approaches to Jewish law and theology.
