Men and Women as Role Model in the Religious Literature - Einzelansicht

In this course we will read Talmudic and Post Talmudic stories which represent the figure of the Jewish Role-Model. The discussion around those stories would lead us to define the idea of the ”Holy Person” in the religious realm of the Talmudic and Post-Talmudic Jewish culture. Special attention would be given to specific Gender issues: Can a woman be considered as a holy person – or as a religious Role-Model – in the Jewish culture?
