Kommentar	Veranstaltungszeitraum: 16.10.2017-05.12.2017 The course will provide an advanced introduction to public management and its fundamental functions and issues. Focusing on the specific context of public sector organizations, it will be an overview regarding the particular context, managing strategy and performance. Therefore, major reform approaches will be mentioned, as well as governance-related issues. Based on the textbook bx Owen Hughes ("Public Management & Administration. An Introduction") major functions and challenges of managing public organizations will be analyszed and discussed. Both theoretical perspectibes and practical tools are taken in account.
