This course will cover the cantilation for the scrolls of Ruth, Song of Songs and Kohellet. During the second part of the semester we will explore a variety of musical settings based on texts from the megillot. This repertoire will include Ashkenazic and Sephardic melodies, as well as contemporary Israeli song.
