Sessions: weekly sessions - Face-to-face sessions
Traditional approaches have described cognitive development as a series of skills and behaviours that are either innate or acquired through experience. However, an increasing number of research has shown how children's unique bodily experience and environment shapes and determines children's experience of the world and their subsequent learning. In this seminar, we will read original research papers, draw upon philosophical and work in comparative psychology to discover the (sometimes surprising) solutions to children's learning and problem solving.
