Approaches to Second Language Acquisition - Einzelansicht

This course aims at introducing participants to fundamental concepts, current research questions and methodologies in the study of Second Language Acquisition (SLA). and will take an interdisciplinary approach. Thus we will consider SLA from linguistic (what is learned), psychological (how is knowledge acquired) and social (in which contexts) perspectives and explore multiple interactions of these factors. In these areas, we will examine different theories of SLA and the critical reactions to them.
