Computational simulations are a standard tool in astrophysics. In this lecture I present basic numerical methods in C/C++ and Fortran for the simulation of physical problems with the help of relevant examples from astrophysics.
The complete course consists of the lecture "Computational Astrophysics: Introduction" and the exercise "Computationl Astrophysics: Basic Concepts".
For technical reasons (PULS) this course is split into a lecture and an exercise. To complete the course and to get the full 4 SWS you will also need to do the exercises.
So, please also register for the exercise belonging to this lecture, called "Computational Astrophysics: basic concepts" and conducted by Florian Rünger each Friday 10:15 - 11:45.
