Close readings in the original Hebrew of some of the great Sephardic commentators on the Bible, such as Abraham Ibn Ezra, Ramban (Moses ben Nachman), Isaac Abravanel and Isaac Arama. In addition, we will attend to the relevant cultural, social and political context in which these authors worked.
Leistungsnachweis	A final assignment will take the form of a research paper (10.000 characters), short film, graphic work (comic), PowerPoint presentation, etc., on a topic chosen by the student in coordination with the instructor Regardless of format, the presentation must have both a descriptive and analytical component.
