(Digital) Media in the Primary EFL Classroom - Einzelansicht

(Digital) media are omnipresent in our daily lives. But what role do they play in the primary EFL classroom? In this course we are going to explore different types of media and their affordances in the context of language teaching in primary school. A historical overview about media use in ELT will be followed by examples of different media types, such as pictures and realia, (hand) puppets, (digital) picture books, (short) films, etc. that are suitable for young learners. Participants will design and evaluate short teaching sequences (micro-teaching units) and materials to be used in the classroom or complete a final written exam.
