Ethik und moralische Werte in talmudischen Geschichten - Einzelansicht

This Course will include discussions on the teaching of the rabbis in regard to ethical questions. We will examine together in the class a basic set of moral values which is offered in the canonical texts of the Talmud and Midrash. Our reading will be based on literary tools – mainly Close Reading – and will be implied in a selection of Aggadic stories, which would present (at least partly) several particular ways in which the rabbis (Hazal) have dealt with frequent daily tensions between Halakha and ethical questions.
