Description	This theme-oriented course is designed to improve students' language skills, to support their studies of the subject and to prepare them for an internship or studies abroad. It will focus on social and political issues in the USA and in Britain. Various sources, such as the world wide web, magazine & newspaper articles, videos and audiotapes, will be used. In this course we will use the virtual learning environment “English for Social Sciences”, which was developed within the framework of the European Union (Leonardo) project “Eurovolt via VLE”. Voraussetzung: Einstufung 70 – 79 P. oder Kurs „Englisch für akademische Zwecke - integrativer Vorkurs II“ Lehrmaterial: English for Social Sciences (EUROVOLT via VLE) Texte und Übungen Nachweis: 6 LP, benotet (Leistungen im Kurs und Abschlusstest) ANMELDUNG nur über PULS.
