Through the discussion and analysis of individual English-language sources, we will attempt in this course to reconstruct what British, American and other foreign observers knew about the persecution and murder of Europe’s Jews by Nazi Germany between 1933 and 1945 and how they reacted to this knowledge. Classes will take place in English.
