This course is designed to evoke discussions and reflections on various features of school system. Common practices will be compared and contrasted across different school systems around the world. In this course you will understand how and why schools are constructed the way they are, how various school systems tackle similar issues differently. Topics include and not limited to: evaluation of achievement, division of educational stages, student-teacher ratio, and classroom dynamic etc. Classic theories and research methods for comparative education will also be introduced.
