This course is open to bachelor students and provides an introductory overview of the field of bilingualism from a psycholinguistic perspective. Specific topics to be covered include: bilingualism and second language acquisition; bilingual mental models; bilingual linguistic and cognitive development; bilingualism and executive functioning; bilingualism and communication disorders.
This course has a limited number of places. If it is over-subscribed, enrolment priority will be given to higher-semester students.
Prior completion of LIN-BS-015 "Introduction to Psycho- and Neurolinguistics" (or equivalent) is strongly recommended.
