In this course we will discuss the application of these methods based on different fields of application, including Archaeogeophysics, Hydrogeophysics, Environmental- and Agricultural Geophysics, Airborne Geophysics and Borehole Geophysics. As an introduction, we will shortly revise common methods used in Exploration Geophysics, including Gravimetry, Magnetics, Electric and Electromagnetic Methods as well as Seismics. Furthermore, we will also introduce more advanced and specialized methods. However, a basic knowledge, understanding of the fudamental principles in Geophysics is a requirement to successfully finish this course! During the Exercise/Seminar we will applied the knowledge from the lectures to study, analyze and discuss selected literatur examples of geophysical field studies related to the different fields of Applied Geophysics. Finally, the course will be finished with an 30 min Oral Exam at the end of the semester. Looking forward to your participation!
Requirement: A basic knowledge, understanding of the fudamental principles in Geophysics. Recommended: Successfull participation in any module introducing basic principles of Applied Geophysics (e.g. Geophysical Laboratory). Parallel participation in Applied Geophysical Methods I/II (Advanced Modules – Geophysics).
Oral Exam (30 min) at the end of the semester
