Description of the elective CLEWS module "PHY-S01: Introductory Research Project":

This module serves as an initial stage of working on the Master thesis. The supervisor of your master thesis gives some initial topics to accomplish (e.g. reading literature, preparing a seminar talk summarizing recent achievements etc.) In the end, a report is written which is evaluated by the supervisor (such a report may e.g. serve as an introductory part of the master thesis, where a review of the literature is often present). The supervisor sends an e-mail with the grade to Prof. Arkady Pikovsky who is the module responsible person and will insert the grade in PULS.
