Academic Papers and Presentations in English Linguistics - Einzelansicht

This hands-on course is part of the "Key Competences" module in English Linguistics. It serves as a practical counterpart of the "Introduction to Synchronic Linguistics I/II." This course focuses on basic academic working techniques in the field of English linguistics, such as literature research, data collection and processing, writing academic papers as well as preparing presentations in linguistics. Furthermore, students will be introduced to various methods of empirical linguistic analysis, including the use of electronic text corpora.

A mid-term assignment (an abstract with a list of references), a project presentation and a short paper.
