Enslaved Women's Resistance - Einzelansicht

This course highlights enslaved women’s articulations of and attempts at resistance in antebellum (North-)America and beyond. It will zoom in on the chances and limitations of tracing gendered resistance within the archive of slavery and — next to well-known (historical) sources and figures  — trace undertheorized and undertaught ones.

Depending on whether you are enrolled in this course as part of Aufbaumodul A (6 LP) or Aufbaumodul B (9 LP), you will have to complete the following forms of assessment: active participation, short paper, presentation+written handout or second short paper, long paper.
