This interactive lecture introduces you to the fundamentals of teaching English as a Second Language and focuses on the needs of young learners in primary schools. The course will require participants active participation and will provide an overview of the theories of second language acquisition, classroom methods and materials, the importance of multisensory and multi-modal approaches to foreign-language learning and the assessment of young English learners. You will be developing a Portfolio which will be used as a tool for reflection and self-assessment of the didactic knowledge and skills necessary to teach languages.
