This course is designed for advanced students carrying out research for their master thesis in Fremdsprachenlinguistik or Linguistik: KoVaMe. It offers students a forum for an exchange of ideas when searching for a suitable topic or for presentation of their work-in-progress. Ideally it would be attended during the last semester of course work or during the semester in which students are preparing their thesis. In addition to discussion of topics such as how to find a research topic or what methodologies are most appropriate for executing the research and writing the thesis, students are expected to prepare an exposé of their chosen topic and present it to the group for discussion and feedback.
