To capture students' interest for the theatre, especially for English theatre, can be a tough job. In order to enable students not only to passively watch a performance of a play but also to talk about this particular genre and to actively work with the script requires a special kind of preparation. This seminar aims at introducing different ways of pre-, while- and post-viewing activities around a visit to the theatre with a group of English learners. We will also try out and discuss various ways of approaching drama as a genre itself. Participants will get the chance to develop micro-teaching units, which will be discussed within the seminar.
Requirements: active participation, developing and presenting a micro-teaching unit, short reflection in written form
Please register via Moodle.
