As the use of IT systems has become ubiquitous in most areas of our lives – spanning from government, to banking, health, and retail management – the problems of privacy and security became the hot issue for various stakeholders around the globe. Moreover, with the emergence and proliferation of Social Media, privacy concerns and need for regulation in this area has been a frequent subject on the agenda of policy-makers worldwide. Considering the industry and social relevance of these issues, this course gives students the possibility to study topics related to IT privacy and security.
