Description: In this course we will read Talmudic and Post Talmudic stories which represent the figure of the Jewish Role-model. The discussions around those stories would lead us to define the idea of the “Holy Person” in the religious realm of the Talmudic and Post-Talmudic Jewish culture. Special attention would be given to specific Gender issues: Can a woman be considered as a holy person - or as a religious Role-Model - in the Jewish culture?
