The seminar deals with fundamental questions of West Germy’s search for security during the Cold War. The geo-political and geo-strategic security dilemma of this exposed state in the basic pattern of bipolar confrontation will be discussed referring to special complexes such as rearmament in the 1950s, the "Spiegel" and Cuban crises in 1962, nuclear participation, détente during the 1970s and the missile crisis 1979 to 1987 as well as the end of the Cold War. Due to illness after an accident the course had to be cancelled!

The seminar deals with fundamental questions of West Germy’s search for security during the Cold War.
