Description

In this course we study how the order of affixes in a morphologically complex word is established. We will examine whether affix order is determined on a languae-specific basis or whether there are cross-linguistic patterns/rules that determine the order of affixes. Furthermore, we will compare formal morpho-syntactic approaches to affix order. Participants will also learn about approaches to the formation of complex words.
