Description	Please follow the "comment" link above for more information on comments, course readings, course requirements and grading. - Prof. Dr. Adriana Tenuta In the course, concepts and principles of Mental Spaces Model and Conceptual Integration Network, from Cognitive Linguistics, are introduced as key elements in a functional/cognitive study of oral narratives. The grammatical verbal categories of tense and aspect are dealt with as important elements in the architecture of this type of text (figure and background) also, the theoretical tools of the Mental Spaces Model are presented as specially appropriate for the analysis of verbal meanings.
