COVID19-Update: The course will start on the 29th of April and is going to be taught as an online format. The communicated times for lectures and tutorials throughout the weeks stay the same. Please make sure to be available for live online lectures/ tutorials during the lecture/tutorial times.

Due to the fact that we teach online we need to specifically plan in advance how many students are going to participate in our course. Therefore youi have to register for our course on PULS from the 20th of April till latest 23rd of April midnight!

Entrepreneurship as a business activity is flourishing around the world: It is creating wealth and jobs and has the potential to deliver pragmatic answers to complex challenges like ecological sustainability or social injustice. Entrepreneurship represents a paradigm shift in the way we think about, teach and conduct business activity.

This course teaches basic knowledge and skills concerning entrepreneurship and venture creation. In order to successfully complete the course, collaborative teamwork is a crucial component. Students are going to  organize themselves in groups, exploring and solving entrepreneurial challenges: identifying market opportunities, developing business ideas and considering first steps towards implementation. Upon completion, successful students will be able to understand and apply entrepreneurial thinking & doing in business contexts.

The course is aimed at students of all faculties of the University of Potsdam. The course is held in English.

Important  information and course materials are only going to be provided via MOODLE. Next to the registration on PULS (puls.uni-potsdam.de) the registration on MOODLE is mandatory (moodle.uni-potsdam.de). You need to register for this course on MOODLE to be able to meet the courses requirements. In order to do so we will send you the MOODLE-registration-key (Einschreibeschlüssel) on the 24th of April via E-Mail. If you then have any questions before this course starts you can contact us via the discussion forum on MOODLE. Due to the high number of participants, we will not be able to answer individual emails.

In PULS students must  register for the lectures (Vorlesung), tutorials (Übung) and the final exam (Klausur), according to the given deadlines throughout the semester.

It is extremely important that all students are  present (online)  on the  29th of April 2020 for  the first lecture and tutorial. On that day the topics on which the students will be working on are going to be introduced,  as well as the assignments of the teams for the semester’s group work will start.

On the homepage of the Chair of Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship, you will find the latest information regarding this course, or possible changes to the schedule.
