This course is only for students who have to do the "Übersetzungspraktikum" as part of their Master degree in Anglophone Modernities in Literature and Culture. Please note that the focus in this seminar is on translations and thus only open to students who have a German level of at least C1 as we will translate the novel "Snare" into German (the novel is supposed to be published, thus, you are not translating for the drawer). If you do not speak any or little German, please choose the course taught by Anna Finzel, which has a focus on review articles. FORMAT: The course will be conducted synchronously with numerous asynchronic elements in the later part which will give you time to work on your translations. Whenever we meet on Zoom, it will be in the originally announced time slot.
