We highly recommend completing "Social Media Research" or "Wissenschaftliche Methodik der Wirtschaftsinformatik" courses at our chair before choosing this seminar/project.
The course performance will be evaluated based on:
- Exposé, i.e. 1-2 Pages Research Proposal (Deadline May)
- (Online) Presentations
- Seminar Paper (Deadline August)
Firstly, this seminar aims to understand what effects the social media business models are exerting on wider society.The second objective is to examine how the use of these platforms can also have an impact on the user's online investment behavior.
Possible topics include, but are not limited to
Students will be asked to get a deep understanding of the topic of their choice, present their findings by giving a presentation and write a seminar paper. The seminar will be held in English. Students can work in groups.
