This course is designed to help you improve your argument analysis skills.
All students will work through a seperate online course titled ›How We Argue‹ as a boot camp for arguments working through many practice exercises training their logic muscles, problem solving, decision making and critical thinking.
The aim is to improve your understanding of claims and visually reconstructing reasons for them. This involves learning to determine and name the specifc nature of the relationship between a thesis, premises, reasons and co-premises for and against it.
Over the term, students undergo a Harvard-developed online course that teaches them how to map arguments. In our zoom class we will talk about examplary cases, and apply lessons learned to classical philosophcal problems and texts. (The course is limited to 10 participants).
