Projects in (Interactional) Linguistics - Einzelansicht

This advanced course will provide students preparing their MA thesis in English and/or Interactional linguistics with an opportunity to pursue their individual research projects up to the level of an MA thesis.
In particular you will
1) learn to focus on a thesis topic of a suitable size,
2) revise basic practical and ethical issues involved in writing an MA thesis,
3) learn about useful tools in analyzing data and writing up research,
4) practice analyzing samples of natural discourse,
5) present your project and findings,
6) give feedback to co-participants presentations.
Ideally, you attend our first session with at least a first idea on your project.
