Since the ratification of the UN-Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (2009), special needs schools are successfully closing. This means that highly heterogeneous students learn inclusively side-by-side in mainstream schools and that EFL teachers have to be able to cater for learners with different individual needs.
Following a broad understanding of inclusion, this seminar will provide an introduction into the theoretical concept of inclusion and its practical implications for the primary EFL classroom. Participants will learn about the challenges of inclusive teaching as well as strategies and measures they can apply in order to make inclusive language learning possible.
Please note: Once you have signed up and been admitted on PULS you will receive an email to let you know how to access the Moodle course. If you can not (yet) access Moodle and would like to attend this course, please send an email to the instructor.
