Cantillation of the Megillot for the Three Pilgrimage Festivals and Musical Settings of Texts from the Megillot - Einzelansicht

During this semester, students will prepare in detail one more Megillah, in addition to the one they prepared in detail last semester. The goal is to master the entire text, and as a final exam, students will be expected to chant any passage from their chosen Megillah fluently.

Time permitting, if students are adequately prepared, we will explore musical settings based on text from the three Megillot.

Literature and sources will be made known during the course of classes.

The course finishes with an oral exam.
